The Infotique, LLC is the parent corporation encompassing the online ventures of Amy Strycula, an internet entrepeneur and ecommerce expert. Back in the mid 1990s, when Amy was among the first entrepreneurs who explored and became versed in Internet advertising and ecommerce, the company Infotique, LLC was born.
"Infotique" is a combination of the words "information" and "boutique", and was meant to broadly represent a wide variety of potential Internet products and services that Amy eventually conceptualized and made reality.
Who is Amy Strycula?
A 1983 graduate of West Virginia University, Amy spent 18 years in the banking industry as a systems analyst, manager, and eventually as the Internet Business Development Manager for a large East Coast bank. Amy's mainframe computer programming background allowed her to adapt her skills to the Internet. Honing these skills from the mid-1990s, Amy was able to retire from her Vice President position in banking in 2001 to run her online business, Coolshopping.com, fulltime. Coolshopping, first an advertising based business and currently an Amazon storefront, continues to be a well known ecommerce website.
In 2003, Amy began work on launching a true retail website, and soon launched CatsPlay.com. CatsPlay is now proud to be among the most well known pet retail websites on the Internet. Amy designed and developed all aspects, both technical and design, of these websites, and continues to manage them on a day to day basis.
Other Ventures and Skills
In addition to the above, Amy's skills allow her to provide consulting services in the areas of website design, ecommerce, web promotion and marketing, photography, and graphics design.
Amy is also a published freelance photographer and journalist, specializing in the entertainment industry. She has interviewed and photographed more than 400 entertainers over a 20 year period, and has been published in magazines such as Country Weekly and The National Enquirer. In addition to photography and graphics design, Amy stays abreast of trends relating to user created content, social networking, and blogging, and actively contributes to entertainment related content sites as both a writer, videographer and content creator.
